I am a huge fan of the outdoors! God’s creation is so beautiful, wondrous, and amazing. I love it in spring, summer, fall + winter. The fun thing about photographing outdoors is the uniqueness of each location and backdrop. This particular session, there are many bright colors! Not the warmer earth tones I would typically have, but mid-summer, big color. I’m trying out my creativity a little bit and leaning into the bright and colorful skies, lake, and pines at this session while I edit. Warm summer tans, california blondes or dark curls, and the black t-shirts were all fun to embolden. I’m sharing a little sneak peek gallery here, because it’s something different than I’m normally shooting, and it was fun. A super casual, matching tees kind of camping weekend reunion. Pretty special!
The resort they stayed at was really great. Simple but clean cabins RIGHT on the lake. Private docks and beach right out your screened porch. SO nice. Check out Norway Beach Resort if you’re staying in the Cass Lake/Bemidji/Walker area sometime for a family fishing getaway. If you’re familiar with the area, it is just to the West of Norway Beach Recreation Area Boat Access and Beach.
