When this little tot slumbered on the big bed in the late-afternoon sun that barely hung in our January north sky, I took out my camera and decided to capture it. Capture the memories as images I can look back on to remember.
Eternally Minded.
I focus a lot in my parenting on letting them be little. On cherishing their littleness before the big bad world comes to get them. There is a great book called “loving the little years” by Rachel Jankovic and it is a sweet and short little book to help shift your perspective. A positive outlook with eternity in the picture. I highly recommend it to any moms and dads of little ones. Give it a read!

Mr. & Mrs. chose some terribly precious decorations for their wedding day, special to them. Books! What a lovely theme to set up with. From the “petals” the flower girls tossed down being heart-shaped cutouts from Harry Potter, the hollowed out book to the cake being a stack of novels… This was a Literature-filled occasion. Being one who makes friends with the librarian before anyone else, I can relate. Here are a few of the detailed photographs of the books throughout the day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. I hope you don’t start crying as much as I do every time I look at these two, privately sharing their personal vows with each other before the ceremony. GaaaahhH!!!! Thankfully, the bride found some His & Her Vows books, so they wrote them out and they can now be cherished forever.

Family Fall Photography | Fabulous Finding Fun and Full Foliage For Fotos. (or something like that)
The colors of Autumn are in full swing here in Northern MN. So, we had this family over to Grace Lake, near Cass Lake, MN to take some family photos near the lake. We got some pops of red, orange, yellow, green, and brown. They meandered from the hill with pines down to the narrow sandy beach on Grace Lake. It was the perfect setting for an afternoon photo session.

I am so glad I had the morning to photograph this lovely family near Park Rapids. It was a treat to meet them! Dad’s sister and her family are regular clients of mine whom I love, so it’s always fun to know more of a great family! I love getting into people’s homes and their lives a little bit when I go to take pictures. These kids were shy for the first few minutes, then they had their balance bikes out, they were doing tricks for their upcoming “clown show” for visiting cousins, and just chatting away! It was such a blessing to meet tiny little Aviana. Tell you what, this almost-2-week-old girl was a complete dolly! She dressed well, ate well, slept well, and laid (lay? lie?) there so well for her debut photo shoot. What a champ!
