Little Red Riding Hood Gets the Mail| MN Storyteller Lifestyle Photographer
This beautiful winter scene is a snippet from our everyday life. I am always on the mission to be present, and in doing so, using intentionality to #documentordinary. Our daughter is wearing this red wool coat for her third winter. It is possibly the last year, as she is outgrowing it swiftly. Last week, with one of the snows we were blanketed with, she and I set out for the mail together, and I asked if I could photograph her in (my) her favorite red coat. After the dog tromped down the lane to join us, I told her she reminded me of Little Red Riding Hood and the dog was like her wolf.
This first image in particular struck me as a submission for the cover colour contest with This Detailed Life photography magazine, so I am going to share it there! #thisdetailedlife. The pop of Red color is truly perfect against the dusky snow-laden walk.
MN Snowy Winter Engagement Session | Lake Bemidji State Park Couple
I had the privilege of photographing this energetic couple! I’m so grateful to have met them. What a fun pair! They brought a few outfit changes, we played with layers and a blanket, switched out boots, hats, and tromped in the snow a bit. It was a fun way to stretch my photography muscles for the cold afternoon. And, it was great weather, too! Take a look at her gorgeous rose-gold ring in a stunning setting of smaller diamonds. GORGEOUS.
Winter Wedding, Bemidji MN Snowy Wedding Day
This was one of my favorite winter weddings! The couple was so in love, and it was a short engagement, with spontaneous touches to make the ceremony and portraits stand out. A Beautiful Winter Wedding with simple decor: Inspired by greens and berries, gold rings and white leather boots and a jacket. This bride chose just the right amount of layers, colors and textures to naturally dress for a Minnesota Winter Wedding. A classic and traditional winter wedding in Bemidji, MN

Family Fall Photography | Fabulous Finding Fun and Full Foliage For Fotos. (or something like that)
The colors of Autumn are in full swing here in Northern MN. So, we had this family over to Grace Lake, near Cass Lake, MN to take some family photos near the lake. We got some pops of red, orange, yellow, green, and brown. They meandered from the hill with pines down to the narrow sandy beach on Grace Lake. It was the perfect setting for an afternoon photo session.
Here’s one quick one from this good day!
Beautiful Northern MN Cabin on the Lake and Rustic Barn Wedding | BWB Ranch , Hunting + Camo + Branding + Jars = GORGEOUS Wedding Photos
I LOVED shooting the Fallon wedding this past weekend, and I’m dying to get through them all, but until then, here are a quick two photographs that I really loved and thought captured the night’s events quite well.
CONGRATULATIONS to Rhett & Ashley on their marriage! What a lovely day! I am so thankful I got to be a part of it!
THANK YOU to Julie at BWB for having such a gorgeous property and hosting so well 🙂

Northern Minnesota Winter Wedding | Wedding Day Photographer in Bemidji, MN
Here is a little preview of the winter wedding I photographed for the Sandenos. You guys. This family can DANCE. I can’t wait to get through those images and share with you. For now, enjoy this first-look moment of the lovely couple in a little prayer chapel. This place holds a special place in the bride’s heart, and it meant so much for them to share their first glances of each other in this tiny little building with stained glass. And, come on. They’re little Harley? That dog was so excited for them to tie the knot!
M Family Mini Session | MN Family Photographer Christmas Portraits
Back in November, I had the opportunity to photograph this sharp looking family for their Christmas Card picture in a Christmas Mini Session. What fun! We were playing around with ornaments and Christmas decorations in front of my mom’s log cabin fireplace. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO cold out though, so we rushed around and snapped some keepers in front of a stand of pines. 🙂
